EMJAY Engineering and Construction Co., Inc. has been a mechanical and general contracting firm working in the Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, and Southern Pennsylvania region since 1954.  Founded by Jerome Scherr, the company has grown into a full service mechanical contractor with a general construction support group that provides construction and renovation expertise on all sizes of private and public projects. 

We provide all types of mechanical design/build and mechanical/electrical construction capabilities and offer pre-construction analysis, consultation, conceptual & plan and spec bid preparation. EMJAY has developed a reputation for quality craftsmanship and the ability to deliver projects on schedule and on budget.
