Melissa Anderson, LCSW, is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as the Director of Counseling Services at Emma Willard School since January 2022. Prior to this role, Melissa worked as a School Social Worker for Troy City Schools and as a Clinical Evaluator at Four Winds Hospital. Melissa’s background includes significant involvement with the Center for Practice Innovations at Columbia University as a Clinical Trainer for the OnTrackUSA initiative, focused on early intervention for young adults experiencing psychotic spectrum illnesses. Earlier positions include Team Leader and Assistant Director of Behavioral Health for Kings OnTrack NY, where Melissa contributed to a program for first episode psychosis, and various roles in emergency services and family support through organizations such as South Shore Mental Health and the Division of Youth and Family Services. Melissa holds both a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Rutgers University.
