Neil Francis

Neil Francis is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in trade, investment, and technology sectors, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees at EMMS International since July 2024. Previously, Neil held the position of Managing Director of Digital and Major Projects at Scottish Enterprise from October 2022 to July 2024. Neil's earlier roles at Scottish Development International included Interim Managing Director, Director of Global Trade, and Director of International Trade and Investment, focusing on enhancing Scotland's international competitiveness. From May 1998 to April 2013, Neil was a Senior Director at Scottish Enterprise, where significant contributions to strategic management and large-scale project delivery were made, including the Informatics Forum at the University of Edinburgh. With an MBA from the University of Strathclyde and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Loughborough University, Neil brings a strong educational background to the industry.
