Malaika Naulls Morrison is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in business and legal affairs within the entertainment industry. Currently serving as a Business & Legal Affairs Consultant since February 2025, Malaika has been a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences since 2017. Previously held the position of Director of Marketing, PR, IP & Ads Legal for APAC at Netflix from January 2018 to January 2025, overseeing legal support for marketing and publicity teams across multiple Southeast Asian countries and acting as the primary legal contact for advertising in Australia, Korea, and Japan. Prior to Netflix, Malaika worked at Fox Broadcasting Company from 2011 to 2017 in various legal roles, including Director of Legal Affairs, where responsibilities included negotiating major licensing agreements and advising on a wide range of legal issues across network departments. Malaika's career began at MTV Networks as a Production Coordinator after graduating with a Juris Doctor and an MBA from The University of Texas, along with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Florida.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences was founded in 1946 — just one month after network television was born. It is a nonprofit organization devoted to the advancement of telecommunication arts and sciences and to fostering creative leadership in the telecommunication industry. The Television Academy, the only major organization devoted to the television and broadband screen entertainment industry, is made up of over 19,000 members, representing 29 professional peer groups, including performers, directors, producers, art directors and various other artisans, technicians and executives.
