Germaine Rouser

Nursing Specialty Director, Surgical Services at Emory Healthcare

Germaine Rouser has a strong background in nursing and healthcare management. Germaine began their career in 1986 as a Nursing Unit Leader at Emory University Hospital, where they ensured the provision of quality nursing care and resolved operational issues. In 1991, they joined Emory Healthcare as a Nurse Manager, responsible for day-to-day operations, staffing, and conflict resolution. In 2008, they became the Nursing Unit Director for In-Patient Services at Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital, where they directed all aspects of management and provided leadership in policy development and evaluation. In 2015, they were promoted to the role of Nursing Specialty Director, Surgical Services at the same institution.

Germaine Rouser earned a Diploma in Nursing from Crawford Long Hospital, School of Nursing in the years 1977-1980. Later, in 1994-1995, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University. Their final qualification was a Master's degree in Nursing, specializing in Adult Health Nurse/Nursing, which was completed at the University of Phoenix from 2005 to 2007.
