Medical Director Clinical Laboratories Hospital Service Line at Emory Healthcare

Lara Harik MD has extensive work experience in the field of pathology and medicine. Lara currently serves as the Chair of the Cancer Committee at the College of American Pathologists (CAP), and has been a member of the committee since 2021. Additionally, they have held various leadership roles within the Georgia Association of Pathology, including President and Treasurer. Dr. Harik has been affiliated with Emory University School of Medicine since 2015, where they are an Associate Professor and specializes in Genitourinary Pathology. Lara has also served as the Medical Director of Clinical Laboratories Hospital Service Line at Emory University Hospital since 2021. Prior to their current positions, Dr. Harik worked as an Assistant Professor at Columbia University Medical Center and completed fellowship training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Lara completed their residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Emory University Hospital.

Lara Harik MD obtained their Bachelor of Science in Biology from the American University of Beirut in 1996. Lara then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree, also at the American University of Beirut, from 1996 to 2000.
