Kathryn Michaelis

Kathryn Michaelis is an experienced digital preservation and library professional with a strong background in managing digital projects across various academic institutions. Currently serving as the Digital Preservation Program Manager at Emory University since September 2019, Kathryn collaborates with stakeholders to implement technological solutions for digital content preservation. Previously, Kathryn held the position of Digital Projects Coordinator at Georgia State University, where responsibilities included managing the library's digitization program, establishing metadata standards, and overseeing grant writing and employee supervision. Additionally, Kathryn worked as the Special Collections Digital Initiatives Librarian at the University of Mississippi, focusing on digitizing archival materials and processing collections. Kathryn holds a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of South Carolina.
