Sheryl Heron

Sheryl Heron, MD, MPH, is a seasoned academic and leader in the field of medicine, currently serving at Emory University School of Medicine since 1996 in multiple capacities, including Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Associate Dean for Community Engagement, Equity and Inclusion, and Vice Chair of Faculty Equity, Engagement & Empowerment. Their distinguished career at Emory University also includes the role of Assistant Dean for Medical Education & Student Affairs and Vice-Chair of Administrative Affairs since July 2008. Sheryl Heron holds a Doctor of Medicine from Howard University College of Medicine and a Master of Public Health in Community Health and Preventive Medicine from Hunter College.
