Nikolaj Desting

Nikolaj Desting has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Nikolaj is currently working at Empact as the Head of Product since September 2023, after holding the position of Product Owner from September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at GrAI Matter Labs as a Software Program Manager from February 2021 to June 2022.

Nikolaj also has experience at Virsabi, where they served as a Project Manager from May 2019 to February 2020, successfully managing budget projects and coordinating deliveries in a team of 20+ people. Nikolaj also managed the Red Bull Stratos VR Project in Switzerland during this time.

Before joining Virsabi, Nikolaj worked at BRIXX as an App Developer for a brief period from April 2019 to July 2019. Nikolaj also gained project management experience through an internship at Virsabi from December 2018 to February 2019.

Nikolaj's work experience also includes being a Head of Operations and a Project Manager at MobilePeople from October 2017 to February 2018, as well as a Project Manager at Atea Danmark from February 2016 to July 2016, where they also had an internship from August 2015 to January 2016.

Furthermore, Nikolaj has worked as an App Developer at MentorDanmark from June 2015 to February 2016, responsible for developing a Unity app and providing technical support. Nikolaj also has early work experience as a Sales Associate at 7-Eleven from March 2008 to June 2015.

In addition to their professional experiences, Nikolaj took time to travel extensively, engaging in activities like backpacking, skydiving, mountain hikes, martial arts, and meeting inspirational individuals, from March 2018 to November 2018.

Nikolaj Desting completed their AP Degree in Computer Science from Copenhagen Business Academy from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended Greve Gymnasium from 2008 to 2011, where they completed their High School education with a focus on English and Maths. Furthermore, Nikolaj has obtained additional certifications including SAFe Agilist Certification from The Knowledge Academy in 2022 and Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from The Knowledge Academy in September 2021.
