Steve Hanson

Steve Hanson, MPH, LFACHE, currently serves as a Visiting Professor and Executive Adviser to the SVP Provost at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and operates as an Operating Partner at Empactful Capital LLC, focusing on value-based care and behavioral health. With extensive executive experience, Steve has been a Managing Partner at Stephen C. Hanson and Associates and S/J Partners since 2017, and an Adjunct Faculty member at Florida Gulf Coast University since 2020. Past roles include Director at Astarte Medical, Partner at the CEO Advisory Network, Interim Chief Executive Officer at Airis Health, and Executive in Residence at the University of Louisville School of Public Health and Information Sciences. Notably, Steve was the Chief Executive Officer at Baptist Health Kentucky, the largest health system in the state, and held senior executive positions at Texas Health Resources, one of the largest integrated health systems. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Health from the University of Oklahoma and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Urban and Regional Planning and Strategy from Iowa State University.
