Empathetic Leadership
Empathetic Leadership makes the case that leading with empathy is among the most authentic, impactful, and effective types of leadership. It is all about: • Seeking out, hearing, and understanding how employees (and candidates) see, feel, think about, and experience the organization, their work, and their managers and peers • Factoring this information and perspective into managing individuals, teams, and the organization as a whole -- fairly, supportively, respectfully, and engagingly • Achieving maximum performance and results by balancing the needs of the employee and of the organization -- and seeking the mutual benefit for both. It is about understanding the needs and perspectives of others and using this understanding to guide our actions as leaders.
