Senior Care Team Lead - Training And Development at Empathy

Anna Lowenstein, LMSW has a varied work experience. Anna began their career in 2017 as a Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame's Infant Studies Lab. In the same year, they were also a Masa Israel Teaching Fellow, providing English language lessons in a local, underserved elementary school in Beit She'an, Israel. In 2018, they were a Trip Leader for Taglit-Birthright Israel and a Birthright Israel Fellow, receiving professional development in Israel education. From 2019-2021, they held various roles at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, Repair the World, PAYA arts, and Empathy. At the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, they were a Clinical Social Work Intern, providing psychotherapy services to a caseload of five clients. At Repair the World, they were a Serve the Moment Corps Member, completing 100,000 acts of service in response to the COVID-19 crisis. At PAYA arts, they were a Mixed Media Artist, creating art to promote self-respect and curiosity about oneself and others. Lastly, at Empathy, they were a Care Team Lead, Senior Care Manager, and Care Manager, collaborating with an international team to build an app that supports and guides families.

Anna Lowenstein, LMSW, obtained their Master of Social Work (MSW) from New York University in May 2020. Anna also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Skidmore College. Additionally, they completed a Semester Abroad at DIS - Study Abroad, focusing on Child Development and Diversity and Children in a Multicultural Context. Prior to their post-secondary education, they attended Hawken School. In August 2020, they obtained their Licensed Master Social Worker certification from the New York State Education Department.
