Empatika Research
Rizqan Adhima is a Senior Researcher at Empatika Research since June 2018, specializing in people-centred research and training focused on development aid through participatory methods. Prior experience includes working as a Researcher at BEKRAF from May to October 2019, where Rizqan contributed to improving the creative economy in East Lombok through human-centered design. At Palladium: Make It Possible, Rizqan held multiple roles from June 2014 to May 2018, including Trainer for Reality Check Approach (RCA) training and facilitator for Digital Storytelling training across several countries. Earlier work at the University of Indonesia involved managing scholarship recipients and coordinating events within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Rizqan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Indonesia and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Power, Participation and Social Change at the Institute of Development Studies.

Empatika is a small independent international organization passionate about providing deep insights into people’s contexts, linking these to fresh approaches to programming, and helping others to do the same. We do this through empathetic research approaches that enable people to share their own perspectives and experiences, and by linking these insights to solutions for change. We are small but agile, with core team members in Indonesia, Nepal, and South Africa who have conducted studies in over eight countries across Africa, the Middle East, and South and Southeast Asia.
