Joe Witherwax currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at Empeople Credit Union, overseeing IT strategy, operations, and Agile methodology implementation since September 2019. Previously, Joe was Vice President of Technology & Payments and Vice President of Information Technology, where significant projects included core system migrations and the introduction of modern digital banking solutions. Joe's extensive experience spans from Senior Vice President of Information Systems at First South Financial Credit Union, where large-scale transitions in digital banking were managed, to various roles in technology and operations at multiple credit unions. Joe's foundational career began in customer service and technical support, with education from Barret School of Banking and Columbia College.
