Kate Barr

Kate Barr has a diverse work experience in the field of photography. Kate started their career in 2009 as a Photographer at Kate Barr Photography Inc. In 2011, they worked as a Freelance Photographer at Barnswallow: A Wild Bird Concern, where they focused on photographing resident birds and designing educational literature.

In 2012, Kate joined Empire Photography as an Associate Photographer, where they photographed special events on location and set up lighting systems and equipment. Kate then worked at Nasco Education as a Product Photographer from 2014 to 2016, specializing in catalog and web product photography.

From 2016 to 2018, Kate worked as a Freelance Photographer at Ulta Beauty, where they were responsible for e-commerce photography and coordination of studio merchandise inventory.

In 2018, Kate returned to Empire Photography as the Director of Photography Operations, overseeing the preparation and distribution of photography equipment for multiple shoots and facilitating communication between photographers and office staff. Kate also served as a Lead Photographer at Empire Photography earlier in the same year, photographing special events and large groups.

Prior to their photography career, Kate worked as a Rental Distributor at The Equipment Cage and as an Order Packer at Nasco during the summers of 2008 and 2009. Kate also had a role as a Tutor at Project Assist from 2008 to 2009.

Kate Barr attended Fort Atkinson High School from 2003 to 2007. After graduating from high school, they enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2007 and attended until 2009. During their time there, they focused on studying art and art history. Kate then transferred to The Art Institutes in 2009 and completed their studies in 2011. Kate obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Digital Photography from The Art Institutes.
