Mary Shivley

Mary Shivley currently serves as the Assistant Dean of the Honors College and Honors College Faculty at Emporia State University, where teaching adaptive leadership is a key responsibility. In addition to this role, Mary founded and owns M Shivley Strategic Connections Consulting, working as the Director of Advancement Communications and Assistant Director of Development since January 2021. Previously, Mary was an Assistant Professor in Leadership Studies at Baker University, directing the Leadership Studies Minor from August 2018 to August 2021, and served as the Director of Leadership at Emporia State University from 2004 to 2013. Mary holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Baker University, as well as a Master's degree in Counselor Education and a Bachelor's degree in Communication with a minor in Business from Emporia State University.
