Katie Thompson serves as the Executive Director at Science Venture Studio, where the focus is on assisting science and technology companies in securing non-dilutive federal research funding. Concurrently, Katie holds the role of Program Director for EMPOWER Accelerator and has extensive experience from previous positions including Director at Startup Junkie, where support was provided to early-stage technology-based companies in Arkansas. As the Founder and CEO of Rooted Startups, Katie worked closely with local entrepreneurs to foster company growth. Katie's background also includes operations management at SurfTec and teaching at Springdale Public Schools. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arkansas.
