David Zimmerman has a diverse work experience, starting as a Parish Center Mass Set-up Coordinator at Incarnation Parish in 2007. David went on to work as a Technical Intern at Leidos, followed by a Software Engineer Intern role at Northrop Grumman Corporation. David then interned at Abercrombie & Fitch and Tesla before becoming a Lean Six Sigma Consultant at Abbott in 2017. David also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. In 2018, David joined Empower AI, where they progressed from an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to Deputy Director of AI Ops and then to Director of Machine Learning Engineering.

David Zimmerman received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering from the University of Dayton in 2015. David then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2017. Prior to their undergraduate studies, David attended Archbishop Alter High School from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in Data or Specimens Only Research from CITI Program in 2023, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2017, and Quantum Programming 101 - Core from D-Wave in 2022.
