Alyssa Morton

Alyssa Morton (Schechter) has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Alyssa started their career in 2010 as an Associate Consultant Intern at Bain & Company, followed by positions as an Associate Consultant and Senior Associate Consultant at the same company. In 2013, they joined Education Pioneers as a Strategy Analyst, where they provided support for strategic planning initiatives and data-driven improvements. Alyssa then transitioned to a role at Bain & Company as a Senior Associate Consultant before working as a Human Capital Analyst (Education Pioneers Fellow) at both FirstLine Schools and Crescent City Schools in 2015. Alyssa joined Empower Schools in 2016 as a Manager of Strategic Growth, and went on to serve as the Texas Director and a Partner before becoming Co-CEO in 2022. At Empower Schools, Alyssa has focused on advancing opportunities and outcomes for Black, Latinx, and economically disadvantaged students by partnering with states and districts.

Alyssa Morton (Schechter) obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Harvard Business School between 2014 and 2016. Alyssa also earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Philosophy, Policy and Law, Spanish, and Economics from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 2007 to 2011.
