Jeff Lau

Jeff Lau has over 28 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry. Jeff began their career in 1993 as an Engineer Trainee at Vtech Computer Ltd. Jeff then moved to Motorola Semiconductor in 1995 as a Design Engineer. In 2000, they joined Maxim Integrated Products as a Principal Member of Technical Staff. In 2017, they began teaching part-time at San Jose State University. In 2020, they became a Director of IC Design at Element Energy, Inc. and in 2021 they were promoted to Senior Director of Design Engineering at Empower Semiconductor.

Jeff Lau completed their Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) at Stanford University in 2008, with a focus on Analog Circuit Design. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) at The University of Hong Kong in 1995, with a focus on ASIC design.
