Melissa Papenthien

Melissa Papenthien is the Manager of Implementation & Project Services at EmPowerHR. Melissa has over 10 years of experience in payroll and human resources. Melissa has a proven track record of being an excellent administrator and has a keen eye for detail.

Melissa began their career as a Data Entry Specialist at Five Star Quality Care. Melissa then transitioned to PharMerica, where they worked as a Pharmacy Technician. In this role, Melissa was responsible for conducting job tasks in accordance with the standards set by the company’s code of business conduct and ethics, corporate compliance agreement, and DEA laws. Additionally, they were responsible for reading and inputting medical data to fill and dispense daily prescriptions, receiving and crediting returned medications based on company guidelines, completing daily contingency box billing for 35+ facilities, and creating and dispensing new narcotic letters to prescribing physicians.

In 2010, Melissa began working as a Payroll Specialist at Tricom Funding. In this role, they were responsible for onboarding new hires, processing terminations, and updating employee records. Additionally, they administered pay rate and billing rate changes at the discretion of the customer, recorded wage garnishments and withholding orders, completed quarterly audit reports with excellent attention to detail, and processed payroll reports for various companies with different administrative requirements and contract regulations.

Melissa Papenthien first attended University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where they studied nursing. Melissa then transferred to Waukesha County Technical College to continue their nursing studies.
