Rick Kotikian has worked in a variety of finance and accounting roles since 2002. Rick began their career at Forever Bakeries LLC as a Senior Financial Planning Analyst, where they conducted monthly operational compliance reviews, maintained labor projections and material usage inventory, and assisted in the preparation of the annual budget. In 2005, they moved to Hormel Foods as a Budget & Planning Senior Analyst in the Operation Finance division, where they were responsible for delivering cost estimates on labor and materials, performing supply chain reviews, and developing and managing cost models. In 2009, they joined the RAND Corporation as a Senior Business Analyst in the FP&A division, where they conducted high impact analysis for three research divisions and was responsible for budget planning and forecast recommendations. In 2011, they became the Head of FP&A at Lucky Strike Entertainment, where they scaled the finance functions from $80MM to $150MM, managed all aspects of reporting, forecasting and trend analysis, and provided recommendations on technology upgrades which generated 2% additional revenue growth. In 2016, they joined Sisters' Academy Catholic School as a Member of the Board of Advisors. Finally, in 2019, they joined Rogue Games, Inc. as the Vice President of Finance & Accounting, with primary responsibility around leading the implementation of new financial management systems with heightened focus around improving data analysis, cross-departmental visibility and financial reporting accuracy. In 2022, they began serving as the Chief Financial Officer of Empowerly, an education technology company that personalizes college and university admissions.

Rick Kotikian obtained their MBA in Accounting and Finance from Loyola Marymount University, College of Business Administration in 2009. Rick had previously obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from California State University, Long Beach in 1995.
