Carrie Ward

Carrie Ward, SPHR, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Carrie currently serves as the Chief People Officer at EmpowerMe Wellness, a company dedicated to improving the lives of seniors through various healthcare services. Prior to this, Ward worked as a Senior Consultant at Collaborative Strategies, Inc., where they provided strategic planning and executive search services. Carrie also served as the SVP/Chief Human Resource Officer at GardaWorld. Ward held positions of increasing responsibility at Major Brands, starting as the Human Resources Executive and later becoming the Chief Operations Officer. Carrie began their career at Macy's as the Director of Human Resources for a group of stores. Earlier in their career, Ward worked as a Process Improvement Director at May Merchandising Company/May Department Stores International and as a Buyer at Famous Barr. Overall, Ward has demonstrated their expertise in human resources, strategic planning, and leadership throughout their career.

Carrie Ward, SPHR has a Bachelor's degree in International Business and Marketing from Saint Louis University, earned between 1993 and 1998. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including a CIO Institute Certification from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2015 and a Senior Professional of Human Resources certification from the HR Certification Institute in 2015. Carrie also attended the Women's Leadership Forum at Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School in 2017. In 2014, they obtained a Senior Professional of Human Resources certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute. In 2004, they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
