Dr. Sabine von Preyss-Friedman has extensive work experience in the field of post-acute and long-term care medicine. Sabine currently serves as the Vice President of AMDA - The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. Dr. von Preyss-Friedman was previously the Chief Medical Officer at Avalon Health Care Group, where they oversaw 42 facilities and implemented initiatives resulting in improved medication practices and reduced costs. Sabine has also held roles as a Medical Director at Judson Park, EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC, and WashingtonCareServices. In addition to their clinical work, Dr. von Preyss-Friedman has served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington, specializing in gerontology and geriatric medicine.

Sabine von Preyss-Friedman, MD, FACP, CMD holds a cand.med. degree from Universität des Saarlandes. Sabine then obtained their MD degree in Medicine from Technical University of Munich. Afterwards, they completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Washington. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatric Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in April 1990. Sabine also holds a certification as a Certified Medical Director for Longterm Care from the American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, Inc., which they obtained in December 1992. Furthermore, they are certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
