Chris Abad

Chris Abad is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment analysis and capital management. Currently serving as a Partner at Empyrean Capital Partners since July 2012, Chris has also held roles as Principal and Research Analyst within the firm. Prior to this, Chris operated as a Research Consultant for a Los Angeles-based event-driven hedge fund, specializing in high yield, leveraged loans, and distressed investments from May 2010 to July 2012. Chris's career also includes a position as Research Associate at GoldenTree Asset Management from February 2004 to April 2010, and a role as Senior Analyst at Chanin Capital Partners from 2000 to 2002. Chris holds a BA in Economics from New York University, obtained in 2000.
