Jochem Roelvink

Jochem Roelvink is a seasoned engineering professional specializing in microwave technology and wireless power transmission. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at EMROD since November 2020, Jochem contributes to the development of innovative long-range wireless power solutions. As Director of Microwave and RF New Zealand Ltd. since January 2008, Jochem oversees the design and construction of industrial microwave and RF heating equipment, with a focus on high-temperature applications. Previously, Jochem held the position of Senior Microwave Engineer at CarbonScape, leading projects related to ultra-high temperature microwave furnaces and reactors, and worked as a Research Electronics Engineer at USDA, developing microwave sensors for agricultural applications. Academic credentials include a PhD in Microwave Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both obtained from the University of Auckland.
