Mark Nakanishi is a highly experienced aerospace engineer currently serving as Principal Manufacturing Engineer at Impulse Space since July 2025. Previously, Mark held several key roles at SpaceX, including Sr Integration and Test Engineer for the Starship Tower, where significant achievements included the design and construction of hydraulic actuation systems and mechanisms essential for the Starship's launch processes. Mark also contributed to the Falcon program as Manufacturing Engineer II and Manufacturing Engineer, focusing on test stand design and manufacturing improvements. Prior experience includes an Aerodynamics Design Engineer role at GE Aviation, contributing to the Advanced Turboprop Engine project, and engineering positions at Boston University, where Mark managed design teams and developed systems for satellites and research instruments. Mark earned a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University.
