Florine Maes

Florine Maes began their work experience in 2007 as a Research Intern at Certech and later undertook a research project at École Polytechnique de Montréal. In 2008, they worked as an Assistant Engineer at Hutchinson before becoming a PHD Researcher at ESPCI Paris and MINES ParisTech, where they conducted research until 2011. From 2012 to 2014, Florine served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Selforganization. Florine then joined the Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal as a Postdoctoral Researcher from 2014 to 2016. In 2017, Florine took on the role of Business Developer at FluoSurf - ERC PoC - CRPP / CNRS / AST until 2018. Since 2018, they have been the CEO and Co-Founder of Emulseo.

Florine Maes obtained an Engineer's degree in Materials Science from Polytech Lille in 2008. Florine then pursued a Master's degree in Polymer/Plastics Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal in 2007. Continuing their education in the field, they earned two Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees, one from ESPCI Paris - PSL and the other from Mines Paris, both completed between 2008 and 2011, focusing on Polymer/Plastics Engineering.
