Tom Vanneste

Tom Vanneste is an experienced leader with a diverse background in management and strategic direction across various sectors. Currently serving as Country Director - Resident Representative at Enabel since June 2021, Tom previously held key roles at Vodafone as Head of the M-Pesa Africa Business Payments Unit, and as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, where Tom contributed to notable initiatives like the innovation hub strategy in Rwanda and digital transformation for a large African bank. As the founder of Kukua B.V., Tom focused on leveraging technology to address Africa’s weather information gap, earning significant recognition and funding. Educationally, Tom boasts an MBA from London Business School and a Master's in Economics from KU Leuven, complemented by additional MBA studies at Tsinghua University. Prior experience also includes a leadership role at CCBRT Disability Hospital, managing extensive medical operations.
