Maha Rahim is a scientist at Enable Medicine since October 2022, specializing in the systemic immune response to checkpoint blockade immunotherapy in human cancers through advanced techniques such as Multiplexed Ion Beam Imaging (MIBI) and mass cytometry (CyTOF). Previously, Maha served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, San Francisco from March 2019 to October 2022, working in Dr. Matthew Spitzer's lab. Prior to that, Maha worked as both a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Student Researcher at UC Irvine in Dr. Jered Haun's lab, focusing on fluorescence lifetime-based multiplexed imaging platforms and nanomaterial probes for molecular diagnostics. Maha began research at UCLA, first as an Undergraduate Student Researcher and later as a Research Intern, contributing to the Neurospora Functional Genomics Project. Maha holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from UCLA and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from UC Irvine.
