Ksenia Yadav

Ksenia Yadav has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Ksenia has worked at Enablence Technologies, starting in 2011 as an Optoelectronics Engineer. In this role, they focused on researching and designing advanced algorithms for layout of large-scale photonic integrated circuits. Ksenia also collaborated with optoelectronics manufacturers to develop solutions for integrated DWDM applications. Later, they became the Cloud Database Infrastructure Engineer, where they led the design and implementation of a company-wide data management framework.

In 2021, Ksenia joined Enablence Technologies as the Director of Data Engineering and AI/ML. In this position, they developed predictive models to revolutionize the characterization process of planar lightwave circuits. Ksenia integrated data analysis and AI/ML techniques to accelerate the company's innovation cycle and enable the deployment of technology in high-volume production.

Aside from their work at Enablence Technologies, Ksenia is also an Adjunct Professor at Carleton University, starting in 2021. Previously, they worked at Carleton University as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant from 2004 to 2011. As a Research Assistant, they focused on experimental realization of structures for enhanced non-linear effects in silica glass. Ksenia also gained experience in microfabrication and simulation of advanced photonic devices. As a Teaching Assistant, they coordinated and designed undergraduate course curricula and received a Best Teaching Assistant award.

Before that, Ksenia had various roles at different companies. Ksenia worked at the Optical Society of America Ottawa-Carleton Student Chapter as a Vice-President from 2007 to 2010. Ksenia also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo in 2003, where they mentored first-year undergraduate engineering students. Ksenia served as a Software Architect at IP Unwired Inc. in 2003, leading research on the distribution of voice and data transmissions in military combat radio communication networks and architected an analytical transmission generator module as part of a military communication network model.

In 2002, Ksenia worked at Tropic Networks as a Hardware Designer, where they developed a new FPGA for an OC-192 card and was responsible for design verification and qualification of system level cards. Ksenia also worked at Cisco Systems as a Firmware Engineer in 2001, implementing kernel functionality and developing statistics collection mechanism for Cisco high-end Terabit router switch product family. Ksenia started their career as a Software Designer at Crosskeys Systems Corporation in 2000.

Overall, Ksenia Yadav has a wide range of experiences in optoelectronics engineering, data engineering, AI/ML, research, teaching, and software design.

Ksenia Yadav completed their undergraduate education at the University of Waterloo from 1999 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical & Computer Engineering. Ksenia then pursued their master's degree in Electrical Engineering at Carleton University from 2004 to 2006, earning a Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.). Continuing their academic journey, Ksenia went on to complete their Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering at Carleton University from 2007 to 2011.
