Serge Bidnyk

Dr. Bidnyk is the Director of R&D at Enablence Technologies. He has 20 years of experience in semiconductor chip design and manufacture. Leveraging recent progress in artificial intelligence, Dr. Bidnyk has led the deployment of machine learning and cloud services in managing the entire chip fabrication cycle at Enablence. His use of deep learning algorithms in the design, manufacture, and quality control has resulted in industry-leading chip performance with unparalleled fabrication yields. Working closely with research and technology centers around the world, Dr. Serge Bidnyk has pioneered numerous photonic chip architectures and has been responsible for advancements in the modeling of hybrid planar circuits. He is the creator of a domain-specific language that is critical for the design of large-scale photonic circuits with precise phase control. Dr. Bidnyk has over 80 scientific publications and 70 conference presentations worldwide, as well as 9 patents. He received a Ph.D. in Physics from Oklahoma State University (USA) and holds an Adjunct Professor position at the University of Ottawa (Canada).
