Sourav Ghorai

Sourav Ghorai is a Senior Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Enanta Pharmaceuticals, having held the position since March 2021, where responsibilities include working on small molecule drug discovery projects and leading optimization efforts. Prior to Enanta, Sourav served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Calibr at Scripps Research from July 2020 to March 2021, focusing on optimizing synthetic routes and conducting structure-activity relationship studies. From August 2014 to May 2020, Sourav worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where significant research led to the development of novel synthetic routes and multiple publications. Educational background includes a Ph.D. and an MS in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Chicago, as well as a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
