(William) Bronson Cox

COO & Co-Founder at Encoda

As the Chief Operating Officer of Encoda, Mr. Cox is responsible for overseeing the company’s development and operations. With over two and a half decades of experience in healthcare technology, including 18 years of expertise in X12 standards for EDI medical claims and payments, he possesses a comprehensive skill set that spans multiple practice management systems, business strategy, software product development, and project management. Bronson co-founded Encoda in 2004.

In addition to his leadership role at Encoda, Bronson has been a member of the ANSI X12 835 committee for the past 14 years. His commitment to this committee reflects his passion for revitalizing payment posting and denial management in healthcare, dedicated to improving industry standards and holding insurance companies to them. Prior to founding Encoda, Bronson held executive-level roles at WebMD Practice Services, where he managed technical support, networking, and engineering teams for all facilities and managed the consolidation of 11 datacenters down to 4 in the United States. He also worked at Lee Data Systems, a reseller of The Medical Manager practice management software (now part of Greenway Health), where he served in various capacities, including Director of Technology Services.
