Emma James has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Most recently, they serve as the Chairperson of the Industry Advisory Board at COMBINEDBrain. Prior to that, they held positions at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, Encoded Therapeutics Inc., Audentes Therapeutics, Biogen, Synageva BioPharma Corp., Sanofi Genzyme, Abacus International, and Caudex Medical. Throughout their career, they have held various leadership roles, including Vice President of Medical & Patient Affairs, Senior Director of Medical Affairs and Health Outcomes, and Associate Director of Medical Affairs. Their responsibilities have included oversight of medical studies, medical ethics working groups, translation and clinical development support, KOL engagement, publication planning, and registry program management. Emma has demonstrated adaptability, effective communication, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in dynamic environments.

Emma James completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Genetics and Biochemistry from Aberystwyth University from 1997 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil) in Medical Genetics at the University of Oxford from 2000 to 2004.
