Senior Scientist at Encoded Therapeutics

Veda Tatavarty has over 18 years of work experience in the field of neuroscience and research. Currently, they work as a Senior Scientist at Encoded Therapeutics Inc. since March 2021. Prior to this, Veda served as a Senior Scientist at Kintai Therapeutics from November 2019 to June 2020, where they played a key role in establishing and leading Parkinson's Disease and ALS discovery programs. At Brandeis University, Veda worked as a Research Specialist from July 2013 to November 2019, leading studies on the pathogenesis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and managing collaborative projects. Veda also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Teaching Assistant at UConn Health Center from October 2008 to June 2010. Veda's extensive research career began as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Connecticut Health Center from August 2003 to August 2008, where they focused on dendritic targeting of RNAs in hippocampal neurons. Veda started their professional journey as a Junior Research Fellow at ncbs-bangalore from May 2002 to July 2003.

Veda Tatavarty completed their education in the field of biomedical sciences and genetics. Veda began their academic journey in 1997 at Osmania University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Genetics in the year 2000. Following this, from 2000 to 2002, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biochemistry at the University of Madras. Finally, Veda Tatavarty furthered their education by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Neuroscience from The University of Connecticut Health Center, which took place between 2003 and 2008.
