Monica Martinez is the current CEO at Encompass Community Services. Monica has dedicated their career to helping others and improving communities.

Martinez began their career as a consultant for Deloitte in 2006. Monica then transitioned to the Downtown Women's Center where they served as Senior Director of Programs and Community Education from 2007 to 2010. In 2010, they became the Executive Director of Homeless Services Center. There, they led the team that transformed the largest homeless services agency in Santa Cruz County. In four years, they increased the annual budget from $1.7 million to $3.2 million and oversaw a capital improvement project to develop 40 units of housing and a homeless recuperative care center.

In 2014, Martinez launched the innovative 180/180 campaign that successfully housed 204 of the most vulnerable chronically homeless individuals in Santa Cruz County in two years. This led to a county-wide system change to expand permanent supportive housing as a solution to homelessness.

Martinez has been with Encompass Community Services since May 2014 and became CEO in 2019. Under their leadership, Encompass has become a recognized leader in providing evidence-based services proven to reduce and end homelessness.

Monica Martinez has a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's in Political Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
