Darren Smalley

Darren Smalley is an accomplished Engineering Manager at Encompass Digital Media, Inc., with extensive experience in satellite services and engineering management. Since September 2018, Darren has served as station manager at Woofferton and held a dual role as Satellite Services Manager and Engineering Manager. Previously, Darren worked at Babcock International Group PLC from January 2013 to March 2022, focusing on global satellite distributions and business growth. Prior to that, Darren was Chief Engineer at BBC World News and held various engineering positions at BBC World Service and BBC Technology. Darren holds a BSc (hons) in Applied Physics from City of London Polytechnic, earned between 1985 and 1989.
