Charlene Bishop-Peoples

Charlene Bishop-Peoples, CPA, has extensive experience in tax accounting, currently serving as the Associate Director of Tax Accounting at Encompass Health since October 2014. In this senior management role, Charlene oversees all aspects of income tax accounting and acts as the primary contact for internal controls over financial reporting related to taxes. Prior to this, Charlene held various positions at HealthSouth, including Senior Tax Manager and Tax Manager, where responsibilities encompassed tax adjustments, compliance, and the maintenance of internal controls. Charlene's professional journey began at Baptist Medical Center as a Senior Analyst. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor's degree from Stillman College.
