Paula Majumdar

Paula Majumdar is a seasoned professional specializing in gender and inclusive development, currently serving as a Gender and Inclusive Development Specialist II at EnCompass LLC since September 2023. As the Founder and CEO of Survivors Rise since September 2022, Paula leads transformative initiatives aimed at empowering individuals to overcome challenging circumstances. Previous roles include Research for Advocacy Consultant at The Accelerator for Gender-Based Violence Prevention, Gender-based Violence Specialist at Development Professionals Inc., and Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Specialist at WI-HER, LLC. Paula's extensive experience in gender-based violence prevention, advocacy, and health policy is complemented by educational qualifications including a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and a Master of Arts in Gender and Development from The George Washington University. Additionally, Paula holds a certificate in Researching Gender-Based Violence from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and completed the GenderPro Capacity Building Program from UNICEF and George Washington University.
