Doug MacDonald

Doug MacDonald has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Doug is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Encore Renewable Energy, a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Engineering at the same company from March 2021 to December 2021. From January 2020 to March 2021, they were an Engineering Manager at Encore Renewable Energy.

Before joining Encore Renewable Energy, Doug worked at SolarEdge Technologies as a Field Application Engineer from February 2017 to January 2020.

Their earlier experience includes working at AllEarth Renewables, Inc. as a Project Engineer for a significant period of time, from May 2007 to February 2017. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the permitting, development, electrical and layout design, and construction phases of solar generation projects.

Prior to that, Doug worked at Northern Power Systems as an Engineering Tech from 2000 to 2007. Doug started their career at Lucent Technologies as an Electrical Technician from November 1998 to November 1999.

Doug MacDonald attended Moorestown High School from 1984 to 1988. Doug then went on to study at the University of Maine, Orono, from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science.
