Wissam El Khatib

Wissam El Khatib has a diverse work experience in various industries. Wissam currently holds the position of Director, Project Finance at Encore Renewable Energy since February 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as an Associate Director, Project Finance at the same company from April 2022 to February 2023. Before joining Encore Renewable Energy, Wissam worked at Potentia Renewables Inc. as an Associate, M&A and Project Finance from November 2020 to April 2022. Wissam also gained experience at BMO Capital Markets as an Analyst, Investment & Corporate Banking from June 2019 to November 2020. In addition, Wissam worked at Desautels Capital Management as an Equity Analyst, Renewables from July 2018 to June 2019. Wissam began their career as a Field Services Engineer at Xylem Inc. from May 2017 to August 2017, and they also worked as a Technical Sales Engineer at W. R. Grace & Co. from May 2016 to August 2016.

Wissam El Khatib pursued their high school education at ISC Dubai, where they obtained their High School Diploma in Sciences in 2013. Wissam then enrolled at McGill University in 2014, majoring in Chemical Engineering, and completed their Bachelor's degree (B.Eng) in 2018. During their time at McGill University, they also obtained additional certifications, including Financial Modeling & Valuation from The Marquee Group, MATLAB (Financial Applications) from MathWorks, and Market Concepts from Bloomberg LP, all in 2018. In 2018-2019, they pursued a Master's Degree in Finance at McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management. Wissam later attended Stanford University in 2019-2020, where they received a Certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies. In 2019, they also passed CFA Level I from the CFA Institute.
