Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group (VERG) is currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Veterinary Financial Coordinator to join our team and help manage the financial aspects of our growing practice.

About the Role: The Veterinary Financial Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all financial operations related to client accounts. This role requires strong communication skills to ensure clarity in financial matters and exceptional client service, contributing to a smooth and efficient billing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review client invoices for services provided
  • Process payments and refunds in a timely and accurate manner
  • Communicate with clients regarding billing questions, payment options, and financial policies
  • Coordinate with pet insurance companies for claims submissions and reimbursement tracking
  • Maintain detailed and accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards
  • Assist clients in understanding and navigating financial options, including CareCredit or other third-party financing
  • Work closely with the veterinary team to ensure seamless communication regarding client accounts
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns professionally and compassionately
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial coordination, medical billing, or veterinary billing (preferred)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first approach
  • Proficiency in financial management, practice management software and general office technology. Experience with Excel, Instinct and Xero a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • A passion for animals and the veterinary field
  • Ability to work 4-10 hours shifts per week, may include some weekends.
  • Must be comfortable working around live animals
