As an Oncology Veterinary Technician at VCSG, you'll be our go-to person for all things Onco! You'll support our top-notch medical and radiation oncologists in providing the best care. Your dedication and passion will help us achieve our mission of exceptional service and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, cool diagnostic procedures, and lifesaving treatments.
  • Calculate and administer medications, including chemotherapy while ensuring pets' safety and comfort.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, giving them all the love and attention they need.
  • Collect and process lab samples like a pro.
  • Keep detailed patient records to ensure smooth communication and top-notch care.
  • Educate and support pet owners, giving them all the info they need about their pet's health and care.
  • Keep all medical equipment and instruments squeaky clean and ready to go.
  • Collaborate with our amazing team to deliver comprehensive care and have a blast while doing it!

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or equivalent certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting, with a preference for oncology or specialty practice.
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary oncology and chemotherapy safety.
  • Skilled in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and other technical skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple tasks like a champ.
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and a team player.
