Shawn Kimmes

Shawn Kimmes has extensive experience in the insurance industry. Shawn is currently the Vice President and Business Director at Encova Insurance since April 2020. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Sales at Iowa Mutual Insurance Group from 2014 to 2020. Shawn has also held the role of Vice President of Marketing at MCM Insurance Company from 2012 to 2014, where they were responsible for driving profitable growth and identifying new market opportunities. Before that, they worked as a District Sales Manager at Wilson Mutual Insurance Company from 2009 to 2012, focusing on business growth and product development. Shawn started their career as a Commercial Underwriter at Allied Insurance from 2007 to 2009, where they worked on commercial business and diversification strategies.

Shawn Kimmes attended Bemidji State University from 1999 to 2001, where they earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.). They then went on to study at the University of Minnesota from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology.
