Leila Velez

Leila Velez currently serves as a Board Member at Motriz, Farmax - Indústria de Cosméticos e Farmacêuticos, COPPEAD UFRJ, and the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader, while also being the Founder and CEO of CurlLab. Velez founded and led Instituto Beleza Natural from July 1993 to September 2019, specializing in treatments for tightly-curled and wavy hair. Educational achievements include programs at Stanford University, Harvard Business School, MIT, and an MBA from COPPEAD UFRJ. Velez has also held board positions at the Governo do Brasil and the Instituto Ethos, and has been recognized as an Endeavor Entrepreneur since August 2005.
