Brandi Johnson

VP, Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Endicott College

Brandi Johnson has an extensive work experience spanning over the years. Brandi started their career in 2001 at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they worked as the Head Orientation Counselor for the New Students Program. In 2003, they served as an Intern Reporter at the Daily Hampshire Gazette.

Following that, Johnson joined Citizen Schools as a Teaching Fellow from 2003 to 2005. Brandi then worked at Brookline Public Schools as a METCO Teacher, contributing to expanding educational opportunities and reducing racial isolation.

In 2006, Johnson became the Director of Community Life at Regis College, where they empowered women and men through education in the arts, sciences, and professions, guided by the values of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston.

Johnson joined Endicott College in 2008 and held various roles within the Student Affairs department, starting as an Assistant Dean of Students, then progressing to Associate Dean of Students, Dean of Students, and eventually Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students. From 2020 to 2021, they served as the Vice President of Student Affairs before taking on their current position as the Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer.

Brandi Johnson earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism and African American Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2001 to 2003. Brandi then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Education from Lesley University from 2003 to 2005. In 2006 to 2008, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree from Regis College. Prior to their higher education, Brandi completed an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Communications from American International College from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging from LinkedIn, with the latest one being Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences in 2021, and they also completed Reiki Level 1 & Level 2 from Circles of Wisdom in 2020.
