Ending Community Homelessness Coalition (ECHO)
Joseph Erik Montano serves as the Director of Research and Evaluation at the Ending Community Homelessness Coalition (ECHO) since September 2021, focusing on enhancing the Austin/Travis County Continuum of Care through mixed-methods studies and program evaluations. Previously, Joseph held various roles within ECHO, including HMIS Administrator and Data Quality Coordinator, where responsibilities ranged from managing daily HMIS operations to ensuring compliance with HUD data standards. Joseph also contributed as a Data Analytics Consultant for the City of Philadelphia and held positions in educational settings, such as Advanced Academics & Grants Coordinator at South San Antonio ISD and GEAR UP Grant Coordinator at San Antonio ISD. Other notable experience includes a data and policy fellow role with College Advising Corps, and managerial roles in radio and orchestral settings. Joseph earned a Bachelor of Music in Composition from Trinity University.

ECHO organizes and coordinates community-wide strategies to end homelessness. As the lead agency for the Austin/Travis County Continuum of Care, ECHO serves as the backbone of our community's Homelessness Response System.
