Data Scientist at Eneida

Adriana Leal is a data scientist at ENEIDA.IO since May 2023, following a comprehensive academic and research background. Previously, Adriana served as a PhD student at CISUC - Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra from March 2015 to December 2022, focusing on seizure prediction in drug-resistant epileptic patients through data mining and machine learning methods applied to EEG and ECG data. As a research fellow, Adriana analyzed lung and heart sound signals to detect noise and developed algorithms to identify abnormal heart sounds. Earlier experience includes a master thesis internship at IBILI, ICNAS, where Adriana characterized Parkinsonic tremor using accelerometer and electromyography data, and work as a summer research intern, contributing to the design of experimental protocols for tremor identification and technological optimizations for physiological signal acquisition at the University of Coimbra’s Electronic and Instrumentation Group. Adriana holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universidade de Coimbra.
