Giulia Barone

Giulia Barone is a seasoned professional in business development and carbon regulation, currently serving as the Head of Central Area Business Development at Enel Green Power since March 2023. Prior experience includes serving as an Executive Assistant to the Head of Global Power Generation and the CEO of Enel Green Power at Enel Group from October 2020 to March 2023, and managing tender processes and project optimization at Enel Green Power from August 2016 to September 2020. Notably, Giulia coordinated Minigrid project development across Africa and analyzed low carbon policies at Enel from 2011 to 2016. Giulia holds advanced degrees in renewable energy technologies, climate policies, and international politics from several prestigious institutions, including SDA Bocconi and Politecnico di Milano, and has contributed academically as an Assistant Professor while actively participating in various international working groups focused on carbon pricing and decarbonization.
